Calcitrolglycoside poeder

Complementary feed for sows. Dried leaves of Solanum Glaucophyllum, contains a standardized content of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 glycoside (10, 20 or 40 ppm). To be used in case of increased calcium requirements during pregnancy and lactation.

The leaves of Solanum glaucophylum contain 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 glycoside, this can be considered as a form of vegetable vitamin D3 which has already been activated. This substance is not only readily absorbed in the intestinal tract, but is also immediately active and does not need to be processed by the liver. This material aids in the absorption of magnesium and calcium in the intestinal tract but also helps in the regulation of the calcium and magnesium levels in the blood and the bones of the animal.

Calcium and magnesium are important minerals which are not only an important building block of bones, but also help in the contraction of the uterus which makes for a smoother delivery.
